Our next Out in Harmony choir social event of the summer is a potluck-picnic and outdoor viewing of “Hairspray”. This is our final summer activity before we start practices again September 7th. [Woo Hoo!] Come join us as we eat, catch up, and enjoy this great movie.
WHEN: Friday, August 27th, 2010, picnic starting at 6pm, “Hairspray” the movie at 8:30pm.
WHERE: Harbour Green Park (essentially at Cordova and Bute) and we’ll attempt red streamers or something like that so you all can find us.
WHO: current-/ex-/ & interested future choir members, friends, partners, and so on. -Basically anybody who wants to hang out, eat food, and watch/sing along with a movie under the stars.
BRING: Blankets to sit on and extra warm things to wear as it does get chilly after dusk; potluck dishes or other food contributions (with ingredients listed please); or simply your own self!
More info about the movie can be found here (sorry, I’m having trouble putting in links, but you can cut and paste these addresses):

- Trailer for the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkzcNF-jlWw
- Sing-along version of “Come So Far, Got So Far To Go” (which the choir sang as an encore at our June concert) which is over the movie’s closing credits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D5NCUvIjBk&feature=related
Hope to see everyone there!
NOTE: POSSIBLE RAIN UPDATE — In case it is raining as of 4pm on Friday the 27th, consider the above plan cancelled (because who wants to have a picnic in a muddy field?) In such case, some of us will still be meeting at 6pm at the Blenz inside the Main downtown Library, Library Square at 345 Robson Street for a bit of a chat and warm drink, so come on by to join us if you are so inspired. We’d love to see you.
