Help us keep singing, and keep the doors open to everyone.

Out in Harmony was founded in 1990, following the Gay Games in Vancouver, to create a safe and joyful space for 2SLGBTQIA+ singers and their allies. We are one of Vancouver’s longest-running mixed-voice, non-auditioned choirs with a 2SLGBTQIA+ identity at its core, and we are committed to radical financial accessibility: no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. We were incorporated as the Vancouver Lesbian and Gay Choir in 1991 and became Out in Harmony in 2010, broadening our membership to welcome gay, bi, trans, queer, lesbian, and friends who want to be part of a supportive singing group that actively identifies as non-straight-and-narrow.

We perform two concerts a year, run hybrid rehearsals accessible by Zoom, and sing at seniors’ homes, care facilities, and hospitals throughout the season. We have also been part of community events, including the Vancouver AIDS Walk, Trans Day of Remembrance, North America Outgames, Rainbow Refugees, LunarFest, Whitecaps Pride, Vancouver Rise FC Pride, and Kitsilano Showboat.

Concert Patron

Your gift helps make our next concert possible. Supporters are acknowledged in our program and website.

This choir exists because of you.

Every concert we give is made possible by people who show up in ways large and small. We want to say that out loud.

To everyone who has come to hear us sing: your presence in the room changes the energy on stage. It matters more than you know. Thank you for being there.

To the volunteers who give their time, whether that means being part of our Board or one of the committees, setting up chairs, sending emails, decorating our stage, or just being the person who always knows where the music binders are: this choir runs on that commitment. We are genuinely grateful.

And to our donors, funders, and community partners, listed below: thank you for making it possible to keep the doors open to everyone.

Our funders and community partners.

We acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia. We are grateful for the support of government funders, foundations, and community partners who make it possible to keep this choir free and open to all.
